Hi, and hope you’ve had a great summer. We know there are a few people who’ve been waiting for an update on the future of the site, so here it is.
Although I have been working on this site a bit more in recent weeks, for the next little while I will be limiting that work to a few specific topics of interest, mostly in the vein of new and updated posts on so-called evergreen topics. A few of these will likely relate to the big shift in Warner Bros. Discovery factual brand rights from Bell and Corus to Rogers at the end of this year.
As I alluded to in April, producing weekly and monthly updates, at the level of detail and quality that I felt I would expect as a reader, was taking time away from other things I wanted to do with my family or for myself. While I know there are many of you who appreciated these posts, unfortunately resuming these sorts of newsletters would not be sustainable for me right now given my other family and work commitments. Therefore, our hiatus on weekly newsletters and monthly programming guides will be extended indefinitely. We do, however, intend to send occasional emails with brief updates as to what we've added or updated recently.
We expect to reopen our paid membership program soon, but for now we can't promise that a membership will give you much beyond whatever good feelings you may get for helping to support an independent site and our hosting costs. If you are an existing paid subscriber, we will be emailing you separately with additional details shortly. One-time contributions, currently available through our Buy Me a Coffee page, will also remain available.
As before, if you have any other questions, please feel free to reply to this email, or email us directly at hello@wherecaniwatch.ca
.
Thank you once again for your understanding and support.
