Where can I watch the 2020 Oscar winners and nominees in Canada?
Only a few of the 2019 films nominated for the 92nd Academy Awards are streaming yet - but the rest will, later in 2020. We'll tell you where.

If you're looking to catch up on all of the winners and other nominees for the 92nd Academy Awards – celebrating the best in film in 2019 as judged by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) – you should be prepared to either shell out for digital rentals or purchases, or wait until late 2020, as not all nominees are yet available on subscription streaming platforms as of this update in July 2020.
That said, some films are already available on Netflix (which acted as the studio behind two of this year's Best Picture nominees) or other streaming services, most others are now available for digital download, and virtually all of the remaining major nominees should hit Crave or Prime Video by the end of the year.
By the way – the Oscars ceremony aired live on Sunday, February 9, 2020 on CTV in Canada (and ABC in the United States) at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time (that's 5:00 p.m. Pacific and 9:30 p.m. in Newfoundland).
Best Picture nominees
Where you can watch
Parasite Winner for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film
Crave has confirmed it will be available on their Movies + HBO tier later in 2020. It will be available on HBO U.S. on August 1, which is a good indication that Crave (in its Movies + HBO tier) will add it either the same weekend or within a few weeks of that date.
Will likely be available on Netflix after Crave's window ends; this will likely be in late 2021.
Joker Winner for Best Actor (Joaquin Phoenix), Best Original Score
Amazon Prime Video has listedLittle Women as a new-release film being made available on its Canadian service July 30. Although there have been several films with that title, the fact that it's a Sony film and Amazon also now has Canadian pay-1 rights to other Sony films like Charlie's Angels (2019) lead us to believe that this is indeed the 2019 Greta Gerwig-directed film.
Available for digital purchase at iTunes and likely other marketplaces.
A note about our estimates
The estimates and statements about "likely" rightsholders or timings are based largely on past practices for other movies from the listed studios in the recent past. We do not have access to the full contract details, only what the studios and streaming companies choose to announce, and where past releases from those studios have landed. The terms and rightsholders can change from time to time, sometimes with limited advance notice. There may also be exceptions where special distribution terms apply to a particular film.
July 12, 2020: Various updates.
April 18, 2020: Various updates, including removal of discussion of any movie remaining "in theatres" (as all cinemas are now temporarily closed in Canada).
February 15, 2020: Noted confirmed availability of Parasite on Crave in May 2020; updated various other data and links.
February 10, 2020: Updates to reflect the ceremony having occurred (more updates to come).
February 9, 2020: Confirmed (approximate) streaming availability of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood on Crave.
