Where can I watch “Under the Banner of Heaven” in Canada?

Under the Banner of Heaven, a true crime miniseries starring Andrew Garfield based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Jon Krakauer, was commissioned by FX but premiered in the United States on Hulu on April 28, 2022.

In Canada, the series became available on Disney+ (under the Star hub) beginning on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, as confirmed by the service's verified Canadian social media accounts on May 9. It's most likely that, as it has on Hulu, the series will roll out over several weeks, as opposed to dropping all at once.

In Canada, a subscription to Disney+ currently costs $11.99 per month, or $119.99 per year, plus applicable sales taxes.

FX, Hulu, and of course Disney+ have all been owned by The Walt Disney Company since at least 2019, and the company has been gradually consolidating its programming onto Disney+ outside the United States, with parental control options available to help ensure programming intended for adults is not available to younger audiences.

As such, as with other recent "FX on Hulu" series like Reservation Dogs and American Horror Stories, UTBOH will go directly to Disney+, and will not air on the Rogers-owned Canadian version of the FX TV channel for a while, if ever.
