Where can I watch "Mad Men" in Canada?

The period drama series Mad Men, created by Matthew Weiner and starring (among many others) Jon Hamm and Elisabeth Moss, originally aired on AMC from 2007 to 2015, garnering critical acclaim and multiple awards including 16 Emmys. It was available in much of the world for streaming on Netflix from 2011 until June 9, 2020.

In July 2020, Lionsgate, the studio which produced and owns the copyrights to the series, announced a new set of broadcast and streaming licensing deals for the series. The length of these deals has not been announced or reported, but took effect in two phases.

In Canada, the first phase saw pay TV service Super Channel acquire rights which were exclusive from July 1 to September 30, 2020. During that exclusive window, episodes aired nightly on Super Channel's Fuse channel, in addition to being available on its on-demand and streaming platforms. Following that exclusive window, Super Channel retains non-exclusive (shared) streaming rights for an unknown (but likely extended) period of time.

Super Channel is available through virtually all Canadian cable, satellite, and IP-based TV providers, as well as through Prime Video Channels and Apple TV Channels, typically for about $9.99 per month (plus applicable sales taxes).

The second phase began on October 1, 2020, when Amazon Prime Video's non-exclusive global streaming rights took effect in Canada. Hence, Mad Men is also now available on Prime Video, included in an Amazon Prime subscription which as of April 2022 costs $9.99 per month (or $99 per year).

Around the same time, originating broadcaster AMC regained U.S. linear broadcast rights, as well as streaming rights via its AMC+ streaming package (including in Canada).

As a reminder, it is also still possible to purchase the series through digital stores like the Apple iTunes Store and the Google Play Store.
